How to join the test
Google won't let a new app go live until 12 people have kept it installed for 14 days in a row. Not one fewer. If you sign up you're one of those twelve, so here's the whole deal before I ask for your email.
- Give me your Google emailThe same one you use on Google Play. It's the only address Play accepts to grant access: with any other, the invite never reaches you and you never get to see the app.
- Accept the invite and installI'll send you a link. Open it on your Android phone or tablet, accept becoming a tester, and install it from Play like any other app.
- Keep it installed for 14 daysYou don't have to use it every day — just don't uninstall it. If you opt out early you stop counting towards the 12 and I have to find someone else.
No card, no account, no ads. When it reaches the store I'll let you know, and you keep it or uninstall it — your call.

What NurseAI is, plainly
What is NurseAI?
NurseAI is a free Android app for logging vital signs — blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation and glucose — along with daily medication. It works offline, needs no account and shows no ads: the data is stored only on the device.
Who is it for?
It is built for elderly people who track their health daily and for the family members who care for them. The interface uses large type, wide buttons and hands-free voice dictation, and it is meant to be read at arm's length without glasses. It follows one person: there is a single logbook on the device, with the name the nurse greets you by.
What NurseAI is not
NurseAI is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, does not recommend or adjust doses, and does not issue clinical alerts. It is not regulated under EU MDR 2017/745. It is a logbook: your doctor does the interpreting.

Questions we get a lot
Is this a medical device?
No. It is a log and a summary to bring to the doctor. It does not diagnose, recommend doses, or give risk alerts. Your doctor sets the thresholds in the settings. (EU Regulation 2017/745.)
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The app is 100% local and needs no connection for anything, not even the first launch. One honest caveat about dictation: it uses your device's own speech recogniser. The app asks it to work offline, but if your device has no offline language pack installed for that language, the recogniser falls back to processing the audio through its provider (usually Google), under that vendor's privacy policy. Everything can be typed instead, and the app works exactly the same if you deny the microphone permission.
What about my data?
It stays on your device. No account, no server of ours, and no sync unless you turn it on and point it at a server you host yourself. To move to a new phone, export the backup from Settings: it is a plain, unencrypted SQLite file that you share deliberately through the Android share sheet (email, chat, a folder), protected only by your device's own encryption — treat it like any other sensitive document. The export does strip the sync address and key, so those credentials never travel inside the copy.
When is it launching?
The Android closed beta is almost here. Sign up here and we will email you the invite as soon as there is room. iOS comes later, once we buy a Mac to compile the iPhone and iPad build.
How much will it cost?
Nothing. It is free in the beta and free when the stable version ships: no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription, no premium tier and no selling your data. If you want to support the project there is a voluntary coffee on the website, but the app behaves identically whether you contribute or not.
Why Android only for now?
The dev team works from Linux. To ship on iOS we need a Mac with Xcode. When that happens, we will announce it here.
